Adaptive Reuse
Bo Concept - This 5,600 square-foot modern furniture showroom is located in the heart of Georgetown, Washington DC. We converted a 20’s era three-story car showroom into a modern retail space while preserving the industrial concrete character and form of the original structure. The existing cast-ribbed concrete floor was unique compared to the heavy wood flooring that is typical to historic Georgetown buildings. The design integrated new lighting, sprinkler system, and ductwork to reinforce the existing interior's strong clean character. This project was completed while working as a project manager at George Gordon Architects.
